The world needs brilliant scientists, artists, designers, linguists, teachers, social workers and technologists as well as brilliant CEOs, doctors, and attorneys. At Crossroads College Prep, we help each student to become the best at whatever s/he wants to be. We don't fit the mold because we don't believe in molds.
Small class and department sizes foster close relationships between students and teachers. 100% of our seniors go on to attend some of the finest colleges and universities in the country. The last three graduating classes have been offered over $2.5 million in merit-based scholarships to these schools.
We are not "mainstream". Mainstream is the accepted middle of the road, and Crossroads College Prep is not the center of the road. Rather, like Frost's "road less travelled by" we are a path that "has made all the difference" to the individuals who teach and learn within our walls.
At Crossroads College Prep, our students take pride in being responsible members of the community. Every individual plays an important role in each segment of our school's society, whether it is as a player on an athletic team, as a member of the cast or crew of a theatre production, or as an active participant in an activity course.
Our differences become clearer when you take a closer look at our academic program. Crossroads College Prep is the only school in the area that requires every senior to take a college class on a college campus. In recent years, we've had students who have taken German, Calculus, or Nutrition at Washington University - St. Louis.
Our culture promotes participation in activities that are unfamiliar to the student and therefore present new challenges and opportunities for growth. Whether it's starring in a theatrical production, competing among the area's highest ranked chess players or athletes, or playing in our award-winning Jazz Orchestra, our students take full advantage of the idea that there is an artist in every person.
Crossroads College Preparatory School's Fine Arts Department provides solid art education for a richly diverse student population while providing a strong foundation for students preparing for careers in the arts.
