African American Read-In
Updated at March 01, 2010 15:55On February 24th, 2010, the Crossroads College Prep community participated in an African American Read-In from 10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. The Read-In, sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English as a part of Black History Month celebrations, was organized by Lucille Harris, grandmother of Royce Purley, an eighth grade student at Crossroads College Prep. She brought together a group of educators to read from the works of African American authors.
