Crossroads College Prep Fall Blood Drive

On Wed. Nov. 18 Crossroads College Prep hosted another successful Fall Blood Drive. A total of 33 people registered, resulting in 29 units of blood collected. One unit of whole blood can help as many as three people- each unit is separated into red cells, platelets and plasma. This means that the units from our drive will help up to 87 individuals!
We had several first time donors who were joined by veteran donors and many helpers. The Black Box was filled with enthusiastic good will. Thank you to all volunteers, donors and supporters of this life saving effort.
Our next drive will be held in April of 2010. Students are already boosting their iron levels in preparation!
