TWO VOLLEYBALL RIVALS “DIG PINK” TO ASSIST WITH BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
Updated at October 20, 2009 19:35St. Louis, MO October 20, 2009 – South Central Athletic Association Conference Volleyball rivals, Crossroads College Preparatory School and Maplewood-Richmond Heights participated in a “Dig Pink” Event to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On October 13, 2009, two opponents became one force when the Current and Blue Devils’ girls Freshmen, JV, and Varsity volleyball players teamed up with Side-Out, a foundation that supports health care professionals in their pursuit of practical solutions for people with breast cancer and raised over $1,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness. The Crossroads College Preparatory School gym was packed with fans from both schools, all wearing pink, cheering on their teams, and most importantly, supporting the fight against breast cancer.
