American Mathematics Contest
Updated at May 01, 2008 09:33Crossroads College Prep participated in the national math contest organized by the Mathematics Association of America. The American Mathematics Contest for 8th grade, more commonly referred to as the AMC8, is one of the largest math contests helping to identify budding mathematicians. Eventually, the AMC tests help create our national team for the International Mathematics Olympiad. In the AMC8, students take a timed test and receive awards based on their performance in their schools, across the state, and across the country.
The following students received intramural awards in 7th grade:
Gold Place: Harry Shockley
Silver Place: Chip Bloch and Lillian Stephen
Bronze Place: Noah Dromgoole
The following students received intramural awards in the 8th grade:

Congratulations to all our students and good luck next year.
